経歴

2004年よりニューヨークの設計事務所にて6年間勤務し、住宅、教会、宿泊施設、市民センター、オフィスなど、多岐にわたるプロジェクトに携わる。2010年に帰国後、ゲンスラー東京オフィスに入社。海外のリテールブランド旗艦店や外資系企業のオフィス・研究施設の設計・プロジェクトマネジメントを担当し、国際的なプロジェクトの経験を積む。
2019年に独立し、企業向け建築コンサルティング、共同住宅、外国人向け個人住宅の設計など、国内外で幅広い業務を展開。国際的な視野を持ち、文化を尊重しながら、高品質なデザインを提供することを理念とする。

Career

Akira Nakamura began his architectural career in New York City, where he worked for six years starting in 2004. He was involved in diverse projects, including residential, religious, hospitality, civic, and office spaces. Upon returning to Japan in 2010, he joined Gensler Tokyo, where he specialized in designing flagship stores for international retail brands and managing office and research facility projects for foreign-affiliated companies.
In 2019, he established his own firm, engaging in a broad spectrum of work, including architectural consulting for corporations, condominium projects, and private residences for international clients.
